The role of the front idler of the excavator

1. Change the direction of rotation
One of the main functions of the front idler of the excavator is to change the direction of rotation. In the non-contact transmission gear, the front idler plays a transmission role and meshes with the two gears at the same time to change the rotation direction of the passive gear to the same as the active gear. In this way, even in a complex mechanical structure, effective power transmission can be achieved.
2. Energy storage role
In addition, the front idler of the excavator also has a certain energy storage role, which is helpful for system stability. This energy storage role helps to absorb and alleviate vibrations and shocks in the transmission system, thereby improving the stability and reliability of the entire system.
3. Adjust the tensioning track
In some cases, the transmission system of the excavator may use a tensioning track to transmit power. In this case, the front idler also plays a role in adjusting the tension of the tensioning track. By adjusting the tightness of the tensioning track, the belt can be prevented from slipping during operation, thereby ensuring the transmission efficiency and the safety of the system.

Maintenance and replacement of guide wheels of excavators

Maintenance precautions: Check the wear of guide wheels regularly to ensure that they are in good working condition. If the guide wheels are found to be severely worn, they should be replaced in time to ensure the normal operation of the excavator.

Replacement steps:
a. Remove the track.
b. Remove the one-way valve and release the butter inside.
c. Use the bucket to push the guide wheel inward to make the track as loose as possible.
d. Install the new guide wheel and apply lubricating oil to complete the installation.
